Join local professional naturalist and ethnobotanist, Bob Kennemer, on Sunday May 19 form 12-3 pm on a guided walk in and around La Veta. We will identify early season flowers along with edible, useful, medicinal, and poisonous wild plants. This is the second in a series of forays and lectures focusing on historical uses of wild plants, mushrooms, and the natural history of the Cuchara Valley and Spanish Peaks region. Due to a wet winter and spring there is a huge variety of flowers and plants popping out, many that we have not seen in years!
Note: participants MUST register by Thursday May 16! For more information on gear, clothing, fitness level, meeting location, etc, and to register, email Bob at email@example.com.
