Dec 5: Anthropologist Dr. Norbeto Valdez will explore questions about cultural identity and historical information native American and Hispanic family origins and the emergence of genizario identify due to conquest, colonization and commerce in Southwest. Using personal family history he will discuss relations among Native, Spanish and Euroamericans that led to a mixed race identity unique to this region.

Dec 12: Ever wondered what it would be like to pack up and take to the sea? In 1991, that is exactly what Veronica Marino did! She signed on as a crew member of the S/Y America, a 1860′s style to gaff rigged schooner and set out. Come and see her photos and artwork and listen to her poetry and talks of adventure.
