Art Gone Wild - Reception Mary 14.

Fri April 3rd, 7:00 PM: Bob Livingston and Don Richmond at the La Veta Mercantile

Apr 03 — Apr 03, 2020

Join us for a special show with Bob Livingston and Don Richmond! Singer-songwriter Bob Livingston has never been a traditional Texas country musician living the honky-tonk life even though he's spent more than his share of time on the roadhouse circuit with some of the most colorful and rambunctious musicians in Texas. As a member of Austin’s legendary Lost Gonzo Band, Livingston toured and recorded with such musical visionaries as Jerry Jeff Walker, Michael Martin Murphey, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and many more. Livingston was recently inducted into the West Texas Walk Of Fame and the Texas Music Legends Hall Of Fame. Local favorite Don Richmond has been a professional performing musician for more than forty-five years. He regularly performs and records on more than a dozen instruments including electric and acoustic guitars, mandolin, violin, viola, dobro, pedal steel guitar, banjo, harmonica, accordion, trumpet and percussion and is an award-winning songwriter. He has released 6 solo CDs, 4 other albums with the Colorado band Tumbleweed earlier in his career, 3 with the Taos, New Mexico based group Hired Hands, 4 with the New Mexico based group The Rifters, and 2 as a duo with David Clemmer. $15 in advance; $18 day of show. Spanish Peaks Wilderness

A.k.a Wahatoya Region

In Southern Colorado, there's an immense area where few go. Some enjoy the Nature, away from the crowded trails and resorts. Some come for the adventure. Some even stay.

What to do?

Follow trails through tall evergreens and quaking aspens. Stand on rock outcroppings and survey the valleys and vistas as they tumble upon each other to the horizon. Sit under a tree and listen...to the songs of the birds, the wind, the trees...the song of the mountains. Relax you're in the Cuchara Valley.
